So all the gals were raving about the new “tubing” mascara. This innovative formula actually forms little tubes of product around each lash. I had never heard of such a thing, but the idea intrigued me and, after receiving many thumbs up, I ordered some from Beauty.com
.
I tried it for the first time today. It really IS all that.
First, Kiss Me arrives inside a really cute little aluminum screw-top cigar-case tube that I think I can use for something later, though I’m not sure what. Eye pencils? Lip liners? Extra points for cool (and recyclable) packaging.
I ordered Dark Brown, instead of my usual Black, only because I am aware of how harsh I can look with black eye makeup. The instructions said to apply 2-3 coats within 2 minutes, and not to apply any more once it was set. Easy enough. Done.
The dark brown color was nice and dark, but not at all harsh looking. In fact, it went on so cleanly that it didn’t look like I was wearing heavy mascara. It darkened and lengthened my lashes with absolutely NO clumping. Yes, you heard correctly. NO clumping. Since I rarely wear makeup at all, my husband merely remarked at how refreshed I looked this morning!
Now, today was a really crummy day in London. Raining cats and dogs. But not only did the Kiss Me not run, I also didn’t get the little flakes on my cheeks that I usually get with all other mascaras. (Mostly because I am guilty of rubbing my eyes and face with my fingers throughout the day.) I could feel the mascara on the lashes, but didn’t come away with any telltale deposits on my fingers or face.
As for removing it — just warm water and gentle pressure. Here’s where I was really skeptical. For sure, pulling on one’s eyelids has to be a bad idea, right? Well, the warm water loosens the little tubes so that they slide right off. In fact, a warm shower is supposed to be enough to wash it off. I used cotton soaked with warm water, and it really did just slide the little tubes right off the ends of the lashes. Amazing.
Update: If you plan to wake up next to anyone you care about, do not forget to remove it before falling asleep. That said, it’s still qualifies as Best! Mascara! Ever!
Beauty.com stocks it in several colors, and they are offering free shipping with a $25 purchase right now. Kiss Me Mascara, Black

Just received my mascara today. It’s awesome. Does not glob on and feels weightless. Lashes look great, no smudging either and I’ve had it on all day. Thanks Lisa.

Everyday use, I don’t think so…
