Wow. In under 3 months we have bought/sold/traded over 250 items in the Bag Lady Swap Club. Lately I’ve had to keep some pretty odd hours because if I’m asleep when something new is posted, it’s gone by the time I finally get to see it. In fact, the frenzy was so great on at least one occasion that we had to resort to good old-fashioned sealed-envelope bids (Chanel. Pink. ‘Nuff said) . A first for the BLSC, but probably not the last.
It hasn’t been all handbags, either. Some other items I’ve seen change hands: jewelry, shoes, scrapbook stuff, baby clothes, iPods, raffle tickets, vacuums (yes, more than one - Dysons, Roombas, anyone?) and…oh yes…fudge.
I’m proud of us Bag Ladies for being able to find a safe way to recycle our unwanted bags (and make a little money to spend on others). But I’m more proud of what we have created–a really great community of ladies (and a couple guys) from all over the world with different backgrounds and different cultures but with at least one thing in common. Actually, we’re finding we have so much more in common than a love of handbags, and the sisterhood we’ve created has sprouted and blossomed into something bigger than fashion. Every day we laugh together, cry together, curse, mourn, celebrate…and I can’t wait to see what everyone has to trade say each day.
Vive Le Bags!!

Lisa…thank you so much for being the creative force behind this site. It is an honor to have been one of the first members. I not only love the site but absolutely adore all my new girlfriends. I’ve made some wonderful deals on the site and given homes to bags I no longer use. To see the pictures of the smiles one of my bags bring to face of its new owner makes me happy and proud to be part of this great place. Thank you and big hugs. Can’t wait to meet you when you and Pog are stateside again.

This is a wonderful site. When Never and I were merely tossing the idea around one evening on the eBay board about how much more fun it would be to trade bags with fellow friends, I never imagined it would be such a success and so much fun.
Many of us have intertwined our lives with one another. What a rewarding relationships we have formed.
I am very fond of all of you girls.
